ABRSM Grade 1 - Grade 8 / Diploma

We encourage our students to enrol for ABRSM exams that correspond to their grade level. ABRSM ( Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) is the largest exam body based in the UK with more than 6000 candidates worldwide each year. The exams is regulated by ofqual ( Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation.) which is based in England. The exams also awards UCAS ( Universities and Colleges Admission service in the UK ) points depending on the grade. Studying at the Academy comes with the advantage of focusing on pedagogy. Practical Piano Grade examinations comprise of three segments: three musical compositions, scales and arpeggios, sight-reading, and aural evaluations.
The cumulative score across all individual Practical assessments is 150. A minimum of 100 points secures a Pass, 120 points secure a Merit, and 130 points secure a Distinction.
Piano assessment encompasses nine levels: from the Initial Grade to Grades 1 to 8.
